 WIND STRENGTH can be indicated in several different ways - here we have made a comparison between the most common.

2 1,6 - 3,3 4-6 5,76 - 11,88 Light Breeze 0,2 m Minor waves that don’t break - Nice to paddle invites to good speed even in head wind. Small leaves and branches moves and a pennant will lift - The canvas moves
3 3,4 - 5,4 7-10 12,24 - 19,44 Gentle Breeze 0,6 m Wave crests starts breaking - Still posible to paddle without thinking about wind direction. Leaves and branches in constant move and pennant will stretch out -No problems for a tent.

Strong Gale

7,0 m High waves with foam string whipped up in the air and decrease the sight - The waterlevel will rise drastically at wind towards land. Minor damages at house and roof tiles blow down - it's a never ending duty to retigthen the tent lines.
